When you sign up as a renter, we collect your name, phone number, and email address so you can save favorites, message agents, and receive match alerts. Property owners and agents provide listing details, photos, and contact information when posting rentals.

We also collect usage data to improve the platform — things like which pages you visit, areas you search, and filters you apply. This helps us understand what renters in Kathmandu Valley are looking for and surface better matches.

We use your information to connect renters with relevant listings across Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur. If you save preferences like budget or neighborhood, we use that to highlight matching properties and notify you when new listings go live.

For agents and owners, we display your contact details on your listings so interested renters can reach out. We also use aggregated usage patterns to fix bugs, improve search rankings, and decide which features to build next.

We do not sell your personal data to anyone. Agents and owners only see a renter's contact information after the renter sends an inquiry or starts a conversation about a specific listing.

We do not work with third-party advertising networks or data brokers. The only external services we use are essential infrastructure providers like our hosting provider, email delivery service, and Cloudflare for security and performance.

Your data is stored on secure servers with access restricted to authorized team members only. All traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS.

Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms and are never stored or transmitted in plain text. We regularly review our security practices and monitor for unauthorized access attempts.

You can update your profile information at any time from your account settings. If you want to delete your account and all associated data, you can request deletion from your Settings page or by contacting us directly.

You can also opt out of email notifications — like new listing alerts or inquiry confirmations — from your notification preferences. Even if you opt out of emails, you'll still see in-app notifications when you log in.

We use session cookies solely to keep you logged in while you browse. These are essential for the platform to function and are deleted when you log out or close your browser.

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party analytics cookies that follow you across the web.

BaasMandu is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor has provided us with their data, please contact us and we will remove it promptly.
